Frank Foster - Director
Frank Foster is a Managing Director of DFJ Frontier. He also manages the Gideon Hixon Fund, the venture capital investment vehicle for the Hixon Family. Prior to that, he was a General Partner of Allen & Buckeridge PTY LTD, a leading Australian venture capital firm with approximately A$250 million under management. At Allen & Buckeridge he led investment efforts into Hitwise, eKit, Wishlist and Next Generation Entertainment. Frank has extensive operational experience through his roles at Virtual Music Entertainment (sold to NAMCO), Contexture Systems and Prophecy Development Corporation. Recently, he acted as an independent Director and consultant to YellowPages.com through its successful sale to SBC Communications (NYSE: SBC) and Bell South (NYSE: BLS) in November 2004. He was also Director of Cogent Data technologies through its sale to Adaptec Inc (NASDAQ: ADPT) in June 1996. He received his MBA from The Harvard Business School and a BA cum laude from Harvard University.

Russ Lebovitz - Director
Russ Lebovitz is CEO of Marval Biosciences. Russ worked for 15 + years as a successful senior scientist and research physician in a variety of academic settings before transitioning to a second career focused on financial, operational and executive management of emerging technology companies. In 1995 and 1996 Russ studied management and finance at Rice and Stanford Universities and subsequently worked for a variety of early and intermediate-stage biotech and medical device companies throughout the US . Between 1997 to 2003, Russ managed global projects in operations, marketing and finance for a number of Fortune 100 technology companies including Royal Dutch Shell, Nextel, Cingular Wireless, Johnson & Johnson, Compaq Computer and JPMorganChase, as well as with leading venture capital and investment banking firms. Russ has developed financial models and marketing plans that helped to raise over $100 million for early and intermediate stage pharmaceutical and biomedical device companies. He served as President of C-Sixty, a nanotechnology company based on the intellectually property of Richard Smalley (winner of the Nobel Prize) through the process of technology commercialization and drug development. Russ completed undergraduate studies at University of Michigan (Phi Beta Kappa), received his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Washington University in St. Louis and completed post-graduate biomedical training at the University of Pennsylvania, University of Toronto, Baylor College of Medicine and Washington University. Russ also served on the faculty of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and The Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia.

Dan Watkins - Director
Dan Watkins is a Managing Director of DFJ Mercury. Dan Watkins has experience in founding and managing start-up companies in both the advanced materials and bioscience sectors. Prior to co-founding DFJ Mercury, Dan was the founder and Managing Partner of A3 Associates, a Houston-based venture firm focused on seed-stage investments in university and research center-based technology transfer opportunities. In this capacity, Dan co-founded DNAtrix, Nanospectra Biosciences and X-EMI. He has also been awarded a number of National Science Foundation grants as Principal Investigator for advanced materials and life sciences research. Prior to A3 Associates, Dan was a VP at Schnitzius & Vaughan, a Houston-based investment banking firm, and served as worldwide manager for operations and control systems for Scientific Software Intercomp. Dan received his B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Rice University and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Dan currently serves on the advisory boards of BioHouston, the Gulf Coast Regional Center for Innovation and Commercialization for the Texas Emerging Technology Fund, the Rice Alliance for Technology & Entrepreneurship, and Wayne State University's Center for Molecular Medicine and Genetics. Dan is a co-founder of the Rice Alliance for Technology & Entrepreneurship.
